Here are some basic facts which you should know when getting married in Hawaii. Hawaii has no residency requirements or waiting period. If you are 19 years of age or younger, please bring your birth certificate (American citizens). If this is not your first marriage, no proof of prior divorce is required; however, you will be asked statistical information regarding the divorce. When you request a license information packet from Hawaii, you will receive a form, which you should complete at home. Bring the form along with you, in case your luggage is delayed or misplaced. A marriage license packet includes a License Application Form, and can be obtained by writing: State of Hawaii Department of Health, Marriage License Section, P.O.
